Ideas Gathered at November 6th Meeting with Food Services

• Recycling vessels added to campus
• Bottles and can crushers
• Re-useable take-out containers
• Energy Efficient Cappucino machine

Will create list of what we want to see in campus housing at next meeting.

CGI Committee to Meet November 6th

The next Charlotte Green Initiative Meeting will be on November 6th at 4pm in Facilities Management Room 119. We’ll be hosting representatives of campus auxiliary services and food services to talk about contributions we can make to sustainability.

October 23rd, Committee to Meet with Greenhouse Staff

The Charlotte Green Initiative committee will meet with Paula Gross of the greenhouse staff to discuss possible future collaborations. All meetings are open to the public and held at 4pm in the Facilities Management Building (next to the Health Center) Room 119.

Membership Applications to Be Taken at CGI Table, Oct 22nd at Belk Tower

The Charlotte Green Initiative (CGI) will be taking membership applications at our Fall open forum event as a portion of the UNC Charlotte Campus Clean-Up.

Membership forms will be avaliable at the event but you can print one to turn in if you plan on stopping by.

• Peter Franz to discuss future projects
• A visit from John Fessler, capital projects manager delivering an overview of captial project ideas
• Tom Stutts to discuss energy efficiency projects
• A discussion on our future web URL
• Write member roster information
• Bylaws additions/changes will be reviews
• Monetary disbursement procedures will be covered
